Professional Certificate in Tackling Human Trafficking – UK
June 6, 2016 - June 9, 2016
GP2950ICPS is delighted to inform you that the next Professional Certificate in Tackling Human Trafficking will take place in London from 6th – 9th June 2016. Demand for places on this programme is high and as places are limited, please register online as soon as possible to secure your place.
The ILO estimates human trafficking to be a $150-billion-a-year industry and it is considered the world’s fastest growing criminal enterprise. As part of its Post-2015 Development Agenda, the UN has renewed its drive to tackle human trafficking with increased resources and initiatives, thus highlighting the need for enhanced skills and training to combat these issues.
Human trafficking comes in a variety of forms, such as forced labour, organ harvesting and sexual exploitation. For Governments and other organisations, tackling the criminal networks behind these trends requires prevention, protection, prosecution and reintegration strategies that are both effective and holistic. Participants will gain a better understanding of past and current international initiatives to tackle crime, alongside analysis of the economic and criminal networks behind trafficking. Through discussions with leading practitioners, in-depth case studies and action planning workshops, participants will examine how effective policies can be developed for their organisations, alongside public awareness initiatives that are crucial for successful implementation.
The certificate is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute, the leading body that awards internationally recognised management and leadership qualifications.
